cross paths and barely glance
once upon a time, our eyes had a dance
actions are now a figment of the past
honestly, I couldn't be more glad it didn't last
I'm slowly but surely learning
if something didn't hurt, it isn't working
do you remember me?

I'm sorry, but it's true
and it's not good for my health
