Sugar Tears
Some days, I cry my sugar tears
For loves , I’ve lost throughout the years
For memories of sweet goodbyes
Or happiness in someone’s eyes
Some days, I need my sugar tears
To try and live without the fears
Of loneliness for empty chairs
And empty beds in rooms upstairs
Yet they are also tears of joy
For visions of a little boy
So loved by those who came before
To welcome him with love so pure
For memories of holidays
Of Christmas lights and high school plays
Those honeyed tears that ebb and flow
To toast this life I've come to know
