Suffering In Silence
I can feel it creeping in
I try to hide my pain
Smile through the thickened clouds
Push through the blinding rain
Labored breaths are simply hid
Behind my eyes so bright
Light an extra candle when
My world has turned to night
Shall I walk amongst the fields,
Bare feet to feel the flowers?
Or pushed on wheels from behind
by someone else’s powers?
Rippled now my thoughts ensue
These views of my disease
Shall I rest the thought of death?
Whilst down on bended knees?
Quiet shadows filter through
My strength now suffers so
Alone I try to hide my pain
A grief you’ll never know
