Suffering

A weight lifts as I leave the past behind
Torturous memories start to eliminate from my mind
As my emotional wounds begin to heal
My physical scars I’ll always conceal
My complex trauma will always be a
part of me
Just waiting till it resurfaces for all to
see
Rarely am I hearing the wanting call
Preparing myself for the inevitable fall
Suffers Suffering only attaches itself to
those too grave
Survival will only come to those who themselves they will save
Only time will tell if I reach my version
of perfection
At least I’m finally not hating my own
reflection

This is so beautiful and a little too close to home. Wonderfully done.
