Such Sweet Sorrow

They say parting is such sweet sorrow
But our parting was not sweet
Sorrow into tomorrow
Could not eat
Nor sleep, nor think
I wanted to sink
Into a depression
Wallowing to the point of transgression
But I couldn't and I wouldn't
Live a life of tears
And for these past years
I did not cry
Not a tear, maybe a sigh
But never did I cry
I just wish I got to say goodbye
But since I didn't get to, I can at least
Look at your picture and say
Rest in peace
