Success' Folly

Captured by titles
Frozen by roles
They feel so entitled
By what they behold

Measured by achievements
Restricted by deeds
Looks towards the external
So they can succeed

Goals are important
On the physical plane
So is one's spirit
It has much to gain

Although what matters
It's looked on with scorn
We regard outer treasures
As our only norm

To have, is important
But so is to feel
The tangible things
Are isn't what's real

he goal of success is not only material
The shell's an illusion
The soul is ethereal

So don't become sidetracked
By temporal things
Direct your attention
To what the soul brings
