Success
Success, a much hyped word today
Everybody speaking about it here and far away
We have TED talks, gurus, life coaches all churning out the same stuff
Why has it become a word that we all have to snuff
People trying to outdo each other in all avenues
Cant we just stop and instead greet other bienvenue
Gone are the days when life was simple and just a 9-5 job
And work place another extended family cob
We clung to each other and wished each other well
It was a time when there was no Apple or Dell
Life was a routine meant to be loved and cherished
Have we become more loud and garish
Has technology made us robotic nerds
Looking for the next best video clip or something absurd
Movies are tagged with sex, violence and nudity
Have we gone from quiet wisdom to stupidity.
Success you have become quite excess
Just leave us a little while to catch out breaths and suck less.
