Subway Stop

A warm summer's night Waiting on the train Missed one by a minute As we wait for another to come again. Small talk conversations Keeps things going along Too much silence makes things Seem uneasy like something's wrong. The crowd begins to grow Even though we started out as few The light flashes for the train We all stand on cue. The train is somewhat full Standing is by preference only Offering some one to sit with you Keeps things from being too lonely. My reflection rides with me In the dark and tinted glass One last stop 'til I get off So I can go home alas!
