Subtly There

Subtle, heart breathes in Catch a glimpse of heaven's face Spiritual wanting Warming light beckons Signal the rider, scoop'em up While Cimmerians bleed Bless the ones who ride Angels at their side give speed God fulfills the need In that lofty lot An importunate wish be Call next upon me Inchoate sins speak Ice mars the surface of men God perfects it then Raise of the hand comes The signal, the nod, for me? Yes son, please, just ride.

I like it Tim. This is my first time reading Haiku poetry. I think I understand it now. It's almost a teacher. You used some great metaphores. I liked the lofty lot one especially. You've helped open my eyes. Great write. Trevor

I like the next to last stanza..From it I gather that when we sin we become harden and become as ice..Sad that happens when we have a Savior who forgives..Thanks for the kind review of my work..Sara

Thanks for the kind review, and you are correct about the next to last stanza :) Yet we carry these scars and learn forgiveness by his grace and forgiveness. Without the ice to mar, how then would we learn?

You've created a beautiful picture of death...peace, warmth, light, in the company of angels with our heavenly Father welcoming us to the other side. Thank you for sharing!! Blessings, Rhonda

The last one is the standout one. It could stand all alone. Great set, Tim.
