Submit a Poem

Submit a poem is haunting me.
I cannot find a word.
It seems all that I think to write.
I think you all have heard.

Ooooohhhh! How it can take it's toll.
Not knowing what to say.
You wish with all your heart and soul.
But end up in dismay.

You only hope that in the end.
What's written's worth the ink.
And that you still have just one friend.
Who likes the way you think.

I'm not one for contests. 
Though theme's help to inspire.
I will usually just ingest.
My own consuming fire.

Debra Squyres December 29, 2014 at 12:00 PM I have so many lulls in my poetry writes with inspiration lacking. I too think at times I've already said all I know to say and also that people are tired of reading me.... Feelings of repeating myself ... even if in different ways. You took your thoughts though and were creative in giving voice to your concerns.... nicely done. I will read your work always.. maybe not speedily,... but in time.
