Stumped
Towering over the forest
Stands a sacred tree
Capable of telling the blest
What was and is to be
To every question an answer
Every problem a solution
Even the cure to cancer
Of the prevention of pollution
One day in the forest I found him
And wondered what to ask
I knew not to question on a whim
But towards untapped knowledge to grasp
I asked him a question that stumped me
That stood out from all the rest
I asked how love came to be
Was it ordained on our behalf?
He simply sat quietly
Content with it a mystery.
