Stumbling In
Stumbling in the back door, but trying to go slow,
trying not to wake Mum, oh where did the night go?
With the boys we hit the town, chasing neon lights,
living for the moment, of those crazy late nights.
Dancing like a rockstar, trying to steal the show,
lipstick on my lips, yeah, you know how it goes.
Making mischief, pouring drinks, laughter fills the air,
we were young and restless, wild without a care.
Clubs were our playground, star lights in our eyes,
kissing all the boys, yeh what a sweet surprise.
The music blasting loud, pumping hearts in time,
every drink I took, I felt the rhythm and rhyme.
We were young and foolish, drunk on that delight,
falling into laughter, yeh a silly wild sight.
Every weekend planned, oh the stories that we spun,
those wild nights were endless; we had so much damn fun!
But now I’ve got some wisdom, a bit of times gone by,
those wild nights have dimmed, and I cannot lie.
I’ve slowed it all down, yet still the sparks in me,
but it’s more about the moments, not just the wild spree.
Looking back at those times, I treasure every part,
the laughter and the kisses, the beats that stole my heart.
We danced like no tomorrow, loved like we were free,
but now I sip my coffee and remember what used to be.
Oh, Yeh, party like we used to, dancing till the day,
laughing with the cute boys, in a carefree way.
Living for the nightlife, the memories that we made,
stumbling through the back door, as the nighttime fades.
