Study As Their Guide
What's the point dad
What's the point
people learn at uni
but then can't get a job
I think that schools
a waste of time!
look around my little one
look around friend
I know a girl
came to this land
trained as a nurse
then got a job
paid a hundred
thousand clams
to bring
her parents here
yet another
born and lived here
got onto drugs
can't keep a home
what's the point my little one
what's the point you say
I know a man
went to university
works now
at helping immigrants
In jobs
that weren't his dream
granted there are people
trained up in uni's towers
that can not find
the job they want
can not reach their dream
you need to do your research
reality and life
you need to aim direction
for jobs that do exist
mix fantasy's epiphany
with jobs that bring the bacon home
the truth lies in between
I know a man
that trained up hard
to be an archaeologist
yet now sits unemployed at home
forgotten dreams
now lost to time
We need to guide
our children's dreams
they do not need
to waste their time
on jobs that life
will not provide
society creation
the leaders of this land
need to guide our children
to dreams where they can stand
Take a look around you friends
education builds careers
the doctor's and the nurse's
the scientist and manager
all show successful lives
that came from working
hard my friend
with study as their guide
