Strolling Around the World

Strolling around the world I find myself at Mirror Lake But when I look into the water I don’t see my reflection Only a muddy image of what I might look like Through foggy lenses A bridge passes over the looking glass And I pray that it is unsteady So that I may break it And find my place amongst lonely bottom-dwellers Where I can see myself for who I really am Without the aid of a glass
