Strive and Thrive
Why wait in the dark of the dawn
When the bright morning light beckon
Behold! To the sun a son is born
For the earth aglow with pride in the horizon
Rise! Drink of cistern of the morning
Now that the senile night is snoring
Here stands the one-sure victory for the living
For yet another day of creation you’ve seen
To be alive is to be invited
A guest in the dances of the selected
After a warfare that claimed the dead
Only the victors today arise from their bed
Strive! Then like battle-fighters
Gathering in from the fields the plunders
Of the toiling sowing of a sower
So rise! Strive! And thrive! A winner.
