String Theory

This slender thread extends
beyond the scope of vision's ends,
beyond this dream, this filtered light,
into a day's embrace of night.

Connected, we, in spirit, soar
above this boundless centered core
of love, of trust, to endless light
that raises up and soon takes flight.

This kite, my soul, can fly so free
because it's string is easily
connected to your loving light:
A beacon home that burns so bright.

I shine for you, this light of mine,
so you can fly, and soar, and shine,
when you, at home, at last alight
we'll snuggle close and both sleep tight.
