Strength in the Silence

The trees, backlit by the moon’s glow
sway with the promise of rain.
Wash away tears of yesterday,
bring in peace to calm the pain.
As shadows creep around scattered roots,
and secrets rest on cold, hard ground,
a distant echo, the night ignores—
no solace will be found.
Alone I stand where raindrops fall,
as the birds serenade the dawn.
A lonely heart amidst the cold,
courage and strength hold on.
