Strength In All Things
Gracious old stone homes
Are now quite rare
Cardboard units and flats dwell where,
These stately homes of yesteryear
Once stood
Mastercraftsmen built these,
With skill and passion,
In Avenues lined with trees
On days when showing pride in your job
It was in fashion.
Sadly that is not so today,
It is no surprise to hear
That these cardboard structures blow away,
It is crystal clear,
Houses that are not sturdy and strong
Won't last very long.
The basis for everything is a firm foundation,
Nothing will succeed without one,
It can cause unrest and consternation,
When this task is left undone
We must
Try to build our houses stronger,
If we expect them to last,
Strength makes all things last longer,
So we do not make the same mistakes
As in the past.
