Strength For Today
I will worry not for tomorrow
But I asked Thee strength for today
For I am surrounded by many storms
That satan has hurled my way.
I asked for grace so I may stand
Where others fear to go
I ask Thee Lord for courage
And for my faith to grow
I asked Thee Lord for understanding
So I can listen with my heart
I ask you for compassion Lord
And make a brand new start
I asked you for new strength Dear Lord
To face what must come my way
I asked you to fill my heart with love
And a desire to pause and pray
I asked Thee for a loving smile
So that others will always see
That I have the Love of Jesus
Living inside of me.
