Stray Cats
Very black with sapphire green eyes
but petite and small in size
The black cat had no home for real
she was always outside hunting a meal.
As nature does she had a litter of four
three tabby gray kittens and black one she adore
Never knew what happen to baby black cat
it disappear quick from the pack
Figure someone took it home for a pet
black kittens are lucky like that
So the three tabby grays grew and ween
Pee Wee so small hard to be seen
Pretty One was more solid in color
Big one now was favored by Mother
Outside they lived and came to my place
for the birds and squirrels they chased
Drinking out of the bird bath even the small
And my dogs love to bark at them mother and all
Soft hearted fool I am set out water and food for four
Neighbor said the cats were his but to them he ignore
So every morning they meow for me
I fill their bowls under the tree
And Cosmo and Sassy bark at the cats and me
but somehow this is how it came to be
Notice Big One was suddenly gone
Did he decide to himself time to move on
But Pretty One and Pee Wee happy to stay
so three cats in my yard daily invade
If Cosmo barking gets to extreme
I spray the cats with the hose kinda mean
They scat back across the street and stare
but always return for the food is here
CatDog he named the small mother cat
no imagination for her awful name in fact
Sabrina I think of her with those eyes of green
black silky coat and a temper mean
Three cats are left but feel two will leave
Mother cat is pregnant again more soon to feed.
