Stray cat, cool sleek alley cat, A vivid tan, with mottled black, In soft moonlight, creeping back, To the scented nights of lilac! One eye of brown, one of blue, The shadows always welcome you, And you go where they take you, And yowl on the starlit avenue! Pretty cat, you stray alley cat, Upon a tall fence, singing scat, Free to roam when skies are black, Not caring if dawn ever gets back!

A pet with two different color eyes is supposed to be a precious gift from heaven - meant to be with you. This was meant to be, and so sweetly.

Stray cats can be amazing,... also pathetic... Ever see the stray cats in the Middle East? They're the pathetic ones: Almost all of them are emaciated, blind in one or both eyes. They are dangerous too. Oh, yes. They carry disease like rodents. At any rate, whenever I see the term 'stray cat,' I go right back 42 years to my last days in Israel... Oh, well. I did not know that about Middle Eastern stray cats. Very sad! I'm fond of cats and don't like to see them suffer. But I love to hear cats caterwauling. I think it's a scream. :0
