Stray Cat Haiku

stray cat under moonlight
looks up pauses and moves on
                        no regrets

No longer by design. Those days are over. Although I keep my headlight on my door handle. Just in case. Just in case.

What a visual this calls up...and a monstrous metaphor with it....would that we all could do the same.

Thank you John…The moon never brings out our triumphs, only heartache and loss.

I never see triumphs when I look at the moon…It just draws me in like salve to heartaches and failures. I`m sure that holds true for many people. Thank you for reading and response Line.
