Strawberry Smiles

There is no match for the strawberry patch
When my girls and I go to pickin!
We look for the big, red luscious delights
And joyfully smile when they come into sight.

“I got one, oh look there are so many!”
But not enough, to say I have plenty.
Come frolick, laugh and pick away
Where strawberry smiles, rule the day.

Darlene, strawberries are the best! We used to sneak some from our neighbor's yard when we were little. Fun times.

Dear Tom, What a delightful ode to the simple joys in the strawberry patch. I loved how the imagery of plump, red strawberries evokes a sense of abundance and happiness. Your artistry capture the essence of shared moments and the contagious excitement of berry picking. It's a beautiful to cherish life's small pleasures and revel in each moment's sweetness. What a heartwarming piece. - Blessings, Daniel

Oh, thank you Laura! My niece sent me a picture of her little girls (all five) whose smiling mouths were covered with strawberries. They inspired the poem almost instantly. Thanks again for taking time to write. Blessings to you!
