Strap
Between the earth, called settlement
is you, God's grace, ne'er detriment.
Within thy face, see promise meant,
my truth a base, so heaven sent.
And then in thee, am firmament
a calling raised, nor temperament
can so invade, or cause some bent
determining its seeming rent.
And as to knowing, have consent
that we are one, as hope can vent,
no more disguise, but sureness lent
companioning, as solaced went.
God holds me in thy love, unspent
a strap, His dealing, His ascent
that I can pull our lives event,
to His whole purpose, our advent!
