Stranger In the Mirror
It's funny how our memories
Always seem to fade away
Just random little pictures
Of the things from yesterday
Forgotten broken pieces
Of a time long since passed
Tiny little moments
That hardly ever last
A fleeting recollection
Of things that used to be
The unfamiliar faces
Of their own family
The faces in the mirror
Are but strangers lookin back
Not knowing of the loneliness
Or missing what they lack
It happens over time
And its hard for us to know
This place where they have went
We can never go
Dedicated to Alzheimer's patients and their families
