Stranger

This poem is written in support of those who have Dementia or Alzheimer's. It is also in support of their loved ones. The journey is distressing and difficult for everyone. May we hold on to the wonderful family memories for all that is forgotten. Stranger By Michelle Morris 01/10/2022 You can't see me Even though I am right here You look right through me I am a stranger in your eyes And the lights are going off In the rooms of your mind More dark corners than lit up More lost memories to find And the labyrinths are dimming You can't find your way out You're stuck in certain times You're only feeling doubt As time passes There's so much more to lose And I'm wondering if I'll lose The very best of you I miss you mom Each and every day I wish you could know that I'm with you come what may But somewhere in your soul I pray you feel my love That you know that you are special You're a blessing from above And when your time comes To return your soul to Heaven I will hold on to our memories So wonderful and special © Michelle Morris, 2022
