A strange man drives our country lane. Can it be that he's insane? Sick in temperament and brain? I saw him before, and now again. Is something about to go down? He's driving, but what's driving him? It's not something I can explain. Could it be for personal gain? And how long will he remain? Should I be leaving town? Does he portend a terror reign? A horrifying campaign? Devastatingly inhumane? Causing misery and pain? The weather man's predicting rain. In the wind, there's an eerie sound. Our way of life can we retain? Is it circling the drain? Will it ever come back again? Will he leave a stain? Trepidation, so profound.

As an agoraphobic, paranoid, misinformed, dysfunctional 'deplorable,' I am deeply concerned about this outsider. ~ Oat Liar

Thanks, Gershon for reading - just one man's perspective.

Sounds political, but perhaps it is the devil. Love that things are back out in the open, not behind closed doors. Things hidden behind doors and on jedi-repeat scare me. Robotic conversation that goes over a bridge to nowhere… Regardless I love your poem! You are a phenomenal writer whatever the discourse.

Thanks Kim! It didn't start political, was just a crazed man on a dark road, but I turned it into a political allegory.
