Stranded
You push me away with your
fake smile
fake laugh
superficial words
that pierce through me harder than an "I hate you" would.
So this is what it comes to?
You've got your priorities now,
whether you've got them straight or not,
I'm clearly not one of them.
Broken smiles.
Broke promises.
Broken friendship.
It's not what you thought it would be-
this new relationship of yours.
You swear this new life is everything you've ever wanted
but I think I've known you long enough
to see the hurt in your eyes.
I don't know what's causing it.
I wish I could make it go away,
back to the way things used to be.
Wish I could be part of the solution
rather than the problem
But you won't let me.
You've left me here alone.
stranded
And I know,
no matter how many people you surround yourself with,
You are stranded too.
