Straight To the Heart

It’s like we’re walking on tight ropes,
And I’m strung out on all my hopes.
Hopes like that you love me so,
And you’d never think to let me go.
I tried playing games like tic tac toe,
To trick you into having me to hold.

But this time,
I mean it when I say.
This time,
I’ve got no games left to play.
I swear,
I’m gonna make you wanna stay.

I’m going straight to the heart.
I’m tired of endings,
So I’ll start,
By calling on the love I had pending.
It’s not enough,
To just have you here,
I need to trust,
That you ain’t going nowhere.
And if I send a spark,
Through your veins,
Straight to your heart,
I know we’ll never,
Be apart.
