Straight From My Heart

Those who have yet to experience the loss
Of a loved one cannot fully comprehend
The loneliness and heartbreak. But believe me
The pain of grief, while it never completely
Goes away, gets better and better with time
I hope you take solace in the thought
That I share your pain. I've lost my own father
Early last year. May the love that surrounds you
Be a source of consolation during this trying time
