Storm Clouds Ahead
Yesterday morning the sun rose on cue;
lighting the heavens in purple and pink.
Everything rosy with nothing askew;
life was worth living with nature in sync.
Sun rise today finds the world much more grey;
storm clouds above put a mist on my mood.
You have now met a new man as you say;
he is your future, is what you conclude.
Left here behind with my head in my hand;
wondering why you just did what you did.
Guessing I’m not the white knight as you planned;
giving you comforting…heaven forbid.
Gave you my heart and you took it with ease;
ripped it to shreds and you caused me great pain;
went on your way to do as you please.
Life will go on yet the storm clouds remain.
