Stories and Rocks

I collect rocks, a favorite thing to do One beach in Maine is completely full I could sit for hours, sorting them through These smooth rocks, the tide does pull Some with designs, I cover with clear finish I collect them, other places I go Then they shine upon my every wish Now so many, where memories flow Some are painted, with scenes as well A simple thing can mean this much They all come with a special story to tell Heidi Sands 10/2/19

I've always loved those smooth pebbles, esp. the ones with colored stripes. Should have collected them, but... Good for you that you have collected them! Blessings, gw

I have collected rocks since I was very young. Most of them are in my flower gardens, enhancing it in the best way. Glad to know you are also collecting them. A great tribute to my friends and yours. Each rock - like a snowflake, unique onto herself.

an old teacher of mine collects rocks, he even has students bring them back from different countries, or states...he said it started as fun in his classroom and now continues...i collect ones from a local beach they refer to as cape may diamonds... they are hard to find though! Good penning, enjoyed this one! :)

Loved this one Heidi. It sounds like such a fun thing to do. I have seen the coast in Maine, definitely plenty of rocks to choose from.

It is very fun and there is one particular beach, no-one really goes to much....full of the rocks! Thank you for your kind comment :)
