Stop the Pain

STOP THE PAIN
I have fought with demons
I even swallowed my pride
Walked holding hands with Jesus
I have layed down and cried
But I still can’t stop the pain
Traveled around for many years
Not knowing where I’m going
Can’t stop that old feeling
And the hunger just keeps growing
But I still can’t stop the pain
Had a few lovely ladies
They still can make me smile
Don’t really know what happened
I guess I wasn’t their style
And I still can’t stop the pain
I guess years of trying to run
With no one by my side
Has left me weak and tired
Just want some place to hide
And I still can’t stop the pain
