Stop Lying

I need to stop lying.

I do not want to.

I need to stop saying

To you and others

That I do not want you.

You need to stop lying.

You do not want to.

You need to stop saying

To me and others

That I do not want you.

We both need to stop lying

And start trying to find out

What happened to us

We need to discuss

Even if we have to fight

And cuss. We need to

Stop lying about being us.

We need to stop lying

It is not an option.

This is a must.

To those who do not realize, lies can do more damage than one can fathom. Telling lies is a cardinal sin after all. I'm glad I read your poem today Sharon. Blessings

Walls of denial; that’s what lying’s usually all about and it will come back to haunt you no matter how good you are at it believe me I’ve lived it. Good work on this write

a great write, lying can get one into more trouble than anything. You have to lie again to cover up the first lie and so forth. thank you for commenting on Wind Coming through.
