Stop Looking Back
To people and places left behind
The memories always in our mind
“If only” is so often said
Stop looking back and look ahead.
Good times from the past will n’er return
You can’t go back, when will you learn
The troubles of the past be shed
Stop looking back and look ahead.
For new routines will need be laid
And hopefully new friends be made
The futures not for us to dread
