Stop
Stop, just stop
And take it all in
Do you ever get the chance to stop
And let something new begin?
We’re all in such a hurry
To get the next thing done
But what then?
You still feel like you’re on the run
Stop, just stop
Take a moment to breathe in the air
Do you ever get the chance to stop
And show someone how much you care?
We take people for granted
Often those closest to us
And yet for our bosses,
We put up such a fuss
Stop, just stop
And remember what’s key
Do you ever get the chance to stop
And spend quality time with your family?
There is so much beyond your cubicle at work
Free time with your sons is the ultimate perk
Off to the beach to hike and explore
Building sand castles together only leaves you wanting more
Stop, just stop
Where does your passion lie?
Do you ever get the chance to stop
And give it a try?
Singing? Gardening? Teaching? Maybe
Slow down and take the time to see
Try to fill your life with whatever brings you joy
Instead of cluttering it up with things that only annoy
Stop, just stop
Thank God for all he’s blessed you with
Do you ever get the chance to stop
And accept that he’s not a myth?
