Stone

My name is Stone,
Son of Iron, bearer of the Blacksmith,
Heir to the kingdom of Moonstone,
A name that endures the withering myth.

My name is Stone,
Solid iron walls, all that I endure is for you,
I am fractured, but your touch makes me whole.
I am broken, but my heart cannot break.

If you wish to hold me, you need only ask,
Hear my plea, be gentle, mold me without breaking the mask,
Bind me in your image, a heart of gold and silver soul,
For your eyes can forge a fire to make me, son of iron glow.

One more crack and I’ll cease, lost to the rubble,
Like rain drops wearing down a rock, I’ll endure,
Don’t be afraid to hold me tight, I’ll feel smooth to the touch,
Let me see your rainbow after the storm.

My name is Stone,
I endure despair, and violent storms in darkness.
True effort, real devotion,
Is found at the very edge of one’s limit.
