Stolen Life

Satan stole my shattered soul
by preying on my wounded heart
while leading me into temptation
I was trapped in a spell

My indiscretions took over my life
shoving me down a path of desolation
moments away from rock bottom
and a breath from hell

Life was bleak. Life was dreary
happy, pretty, and sweet I used to be
calling upon inevitable mortality
I lost all decency

Everything I had was sold cheap
all relationships broken into pieces
despair in the clutches of evil
thrashing cold sweats and anxiety
.
My life wasn’t meaningful
I was at my lowest and out of control
chasing after the devil’s gold
in one sole direction I was

…falling…falling...into eternal loss and
soon straight to my death
