Stoic

STOIC

Some people describe me as stoical
Stiff upper lip and chin raised, I’d say
Yet take it as it comes – it is the way
I’ve firmly held views, always logical

It’s probably inherited from my parents
I’m imbued with a sense of being strong
Of course, knowing right from wrong
And really about showing forbearance

The lack of anger shown isn’t monotony
Slightly more meaning than just a shrug
But never falling into a hole one has dug
And it can be described as a philosophy
