Stillpoint

The space binding darkness to light, birthplace of visions where souls do not stray in exclusion but congregate wearing the mantle of mercy and peace. Bitter arguments unreconciled, blessings never spoken, angry exchanges left wanting of prompt resolution have no meaning here. All torments quieted, rumors and lies are forgiven, love and respect take their hold for those children of God who were wandering out in the cold.

I like what you have done with this. it is good to read a poem that is, obviously, a celebration of words and how word seem to be used, in this, as metaphors (only realised by the last line). I don't know if it was intention to leave the 'are' out of the first line (after 'arguments') because you include it in the rest of the lines. I wonder if you exorcised 'are' from the poem would it read with a better flow. maybe I'm missing something.

Embracing the peace...to leave behind all anger and torment and pain....what a comforting thought. May we all find that to be our place some day.

A moving description of the way heaven is perceived, Keith. Hopefully, we will all be able to share in the mercy and peace one day. Love, Carolyn
