Stillborn

Sweet little angel,
High up above.
Never saw your smile,
Never felt your love.
I feel so deprived
Because your stay was so brief,
Left my world upside down,
Torn apart by grief.
I still wonder why
You were taken away,
Why you had to die
In such a mysterious way.
Perhaps I didn't deserve
To receive a gift so great...
All I know is that your passing
Was a painful twist of fate.
I wish I could see you
And watch as you grow.
My sweet little girl,
Why did you go?
