Still Winter

STILL WINTER

through the barren trees
an endless expanse of gray
an orange street light

eye out the window
froze in hopeless thought, now my
furnace hums comfort

tiny figurines
on a shelf life of their own
care not for seasons

Oh, I love this Daver! Ouf, "the tiny figurines" made me think of the "Glass Menagerie", I don't think I'd ever watched the whole movie, nor read the book, so I just read about the plot.:(( I'll write to you about some "Spring" magic instead.:) Semper fi, love, Mikki

I love this, and as I said from PTF, the ending is my favorite part.

Daver, i see why it is hard for you to care for the seasons. It seems as if they know how to stay away from where you are from. I imagine you life in the north pole.. JK. Daver, I think your furnace is nicely keeping you warm... glad you find comfort in that when all hope is lost. Down here in Texas, summer has begun,,, he he he..a little to early. Wanna trade places, :-)... love always~ Linda
