Big congratulations, Carolyn on your third place in Francine Roberts's contest, " Senryu For Mom ". I feel the nostalgia in your words upon hearing your mom's voice, " The begonias are pretty ". Your poem has touched me deeply thinking of my own mom. The only consolation we have is their spirit living in us. Smile, she is watching you from Heaven! Thanks for your encouraging and heartfelt comments. Have a Happy Mother's Day! Hugs, Andrew.

i think i'm very lucky to still have my mom. if you only knew how proud of me she is. every sunday i do something to make her proud. she is as proud of me as april was. at times i think of the rumors that kept her mind occupied about how her son had came up. and now with Gods help she has me at her service. with aprils death i realize how important it is that i spend this time with my mother. putting the smile on her face. even if i have to tell her to stop bragging. can i tell you i'm yours too
