Sticky toes

Throw all my socks away. Going barefoot, Across the floors today. Momma said," Where are your socks?" Shrugging my shoulders, Throwing up my hands. They must have gone to sock land. Momma frowned, Looked around. Found a pair in her drawer, She thought I could wear. I pulled them up high, A pirate in tights. Will fight some battles. Lost this one to socks. As I slide across the floor, Perhaps I should have kept my socks some more. Sticky toes in socks, Almost slides out the door.

Hi Kim, this is a lovely write, throughly enjoyed it. Took me back to my school days, skiing down the long polished hallway and went through the door. Still have a scar. Wishing you a fabulous day and a great weekend.

Thank you. I still slide on floors just a bit more trouble if I land on floor. Sorry your slide ended in scar but glad you liked the poem. Keep reading, I like writing.
