Stepping Through Time
I'm a visitor from tomorrow
In the realm of yesterday
Some dance steps I'll borrow
When the music starts to play
The band strikes up a tune
Its rhythm hits the spot
We glide across the room
In graceful steps of the foxtrot
I gaze into her eyes
Their fame is set in song
Her full lips glisten like the dew
Upon the rose of morn
Her sense of humor I knew was great,
I knew about her feud
and the one she loved to hate,
But words would not intrude
We never say a word
The answers that I seek
are in her eyes inferred
And so, we let the music speak
