Stepped On a Bee

I stepped on a bee That I didn't see Screamed in pain like I'd been shot Holding my foot that's fire hot And this shouldn't be any news But its a good idea to always wear shoes People are poking me with tools in their fingers Trying to dig out that bloody stinger You would have thought that someone died With all the noise and the tears I cried But what I have failed to see Is the fate of that poor honey bee

Hello Timothy ... yep, dead and gone after the sting. By crikey, a bee does leave a legacy though. Lived your poem a number of times Timothy - Lindsay

It takes a big man to be so considerate for the bee's fate in this circumstance. Well done, Timothy.

Thank you. It has always bothered me that the bee minding his own business gets stepped on and dies.
