Step Into My Mind
Please,
Make yourself comfortable,
On any thought you'd like.
Sorry,
About that view from behind my eyes.
Seeing my smile is difficult,
Especially through blinding tears.
By the way,
Love used to live here.
It's just hard to tell now,
With so many depressions left,
On this brain's cushion.
What's that?
Oh sure, you can smoke.
What's a few thousand cells,
Give or take a few.
Won't be using most of them anyway.
By the way,
How did you find me?
Most friends thought my mind was vacant.
Sure, you're welcome anytime.
Just be very careful,
Next time you knock,
You might wake my heart.
