Stellar Corona 2
The most easily seen during a total solar eclipse,
But it is also observable with a coronagraph.
Spectroscopy measurements indicate
Strong ionization in the corona state
And a plasma temperature in excess of kelvin,
Much hotter than the surface of the Sun.
This is not the Corona from thy Earth
But a stellar Corona that is in mirth
None can control this for sure
As it has power infinite pure 5.
Corona standing for Crown
Has a kingly gesture proven
A space jargon with mystery
Has a super duper history
Discovered a few centuries ago
Where all were like a new amigo
The astrophysics started rising
Like a phoenix perfect uprising
Where there is a will, there is a way
While the Corona shines, let’s make hay. 6.
In 1724, French-Italian astronomer
Giacomo F. Maraldi recognized sure
That the aura visible during a solar eclipse
(Eclipse=Just like our mathematical ellipsis)
Belongs to the Sun and not to the Moon.
Spanish astronomer in 1809 soon
José Joaquín de Ferrer
Coined the term 'corona' cooler
Has a million dollar use to maintain
Solar equilibrium and sustain 7.
(The Sun’s corona is the outermost part of the Sun’s atmosphere. The corona is usually hidden by the bright light of the Sun's surface. That makes it difficult to see without using special instruments. However, the corona can be viewed during a total solar eclipse.)
