Steed

Racing my steed Across hostile ground I must come to your rescue For I am honor bound As a Knight of the court You, fair princess, I have sought... Evil foes abducted you Fear not, My lance and sword is true Lay they dragons in my way It will not slow me by a day All will be slain And their corpses lain Upon this hostile earth, The one which had seen my birth My steed of steel Gives me confidence Which is real Then I'll climb The tower wall With no fear, I'd slip or fall To your chamber window Make off our escape My only asked reward, To kiss your silken nape My steed awaits To carry us home, Before we once again Return to a life that does roam Awaiting our next adventure My mighty steed and I, Leaving a beautiful princess Home to softly cry... For she wanted us to stay, But my mighty steed and I Can not in one place long lay.
