Sweat-drenched heat victims crank up the AC’s.
Temperate weather has bid us adieu.
Energy is sapped; for some, optimism grows dim.
Alleviation follows the occasional rainstorm.
Many rely on swimming pools for brief respite.
Yesterday was hot; today will be a record-breaker.

Janice this is a fabulous acrostic for the contest - am so glad we dont get extreme temperatures on our little island, love the line about energy being sapped - happens to me when we go abroad on holiday and i am not a lover of too much sun/ heat. hugs jan xx
